The Logistics and Coach Survey: Strategic Roads is an official survey and part of measuring how England’s motorways and major ‘A’ roads are working for those who use them. These are the roads managed by National Highways on behalf of the Government.
The survey asks firms running lorries or coaches on National Highways’ roads about their satisfaction with them when it comes to meeting business needs. The survey covers information, clearing up after accidents, roadside facilities, road surface and other aspects of how lorry and coach firms experience National Highways’ roads. The results provide rich information to help National Highways focus on meeting the needs of these important road users.
The Logistics and Coach Survey: Strategic Roads is carried out three times each year, with the results published in Transport Focus’s data hub in January, May and September. It is an official Performance Indicator within the Government’s second road investment strategy – see Pages 62-66.
