Gyda phwyslais cryf ar ymgyrchu ac ymchwil ar sail tystiolaeth, rydym yn sicrhau ein bod yn gwybod beth sy’n digwydd ar lawr gwlad. Defnyddir y wybodaeth hon i ddylanwadu ar benderfyniadau ar ran teithwyr a defnyddwyr ffyrdd i sicrhau gwelliannau a gwneud gwahaniaeth.

Transport Focus is the independent watchdog for transport users. We put the interests of transport users first and aim to get the best deal for passengers and road users.
With a strong emphasis on evidence-based campaigning and research, we ensure that we know what is happening on the ground. This knowledge is used to influence decisions on behalf of passengers and road users to secure improvements and make a difference.

Mae Ffocws ar Drafnidiaeth yn gweithio gyda Llywodraeth Cymru a Trafnidiaeth Cymru i hyrwyddo buddiannau pob defnyddiwr trafnidiaeth. Rydym yn aelodau o Fwrdd Goruchwylio Rheilffyrdd Cymru Network Rail, Panel Cynghori ar Drafnidiaeth Cymru a Transform Wales.
Rydym yn gweithredu fel ‘ffrind beirniadol’ i TrC a Network Rail, gan sicrhau bod profiadau a blaenoriaethau defnyddwyr wrth wraidd darpariaeth gwasanaethau.
Rydym wedi gweithio gyda phartneriaid i gynnwys teithwyr bws Cymru yn ein hymchwil sylweddol i fysiau, ac rydym yn mynd ati’n frwd i chwilio am gyfleoedd eraill i ddeall anghenion a phrofiadau ein holl ddefnyddwyr trafnidiaeth drwy ein rhaglen ymchwil eang.
Rydym yn cyflwyno tystiolaeth yn rheolaidd i Bwyllgor yr Economi, Seilwaith a Sgiliau’r Senedd ac yn rhoi cyngor a safbwyntiau i Lywodraeth Cymru, gan gynnwys ar drafnidiaeth yn ystod Covid-19. Rydym wedi helpu Trafnidiaeth Cymru i ddatblygu strwythur ymgysylltu â rhanddeiliaid cadarn, wedi cyfrannu at lunio polisïau trafnidiaeth allweddol ac ar hyn o bryd rydym yn ymateb i Strategaeth Trafnidiaeth Cymru.
Transport Focus works with the Welsh Government and Transport for Wales to promote the interests of all transport users. We are members of Network Rail’s Wales Route Supervisory Board, Transport for Wales Advisory Panel and Transform Cymru.
We act as a ‘critical friend’ to TfW and Network Rail, making sure users’ experiences and priorities are at the heart of service delivery.
We have worked with partners to include Welsh bus passengers in our major bus research, and actively seek other opportunities to understand the needs and experiences of all transport users through our extensive programme of research.
We regularly give evidence to the Senedd Economy Infrastructure and Skills Committee. We provide advice and insight to Welsh Government including on transport during Covid-19. We’ve helped Transport for Wales develop a robust stakeholder engagement structure, provided input to key transport policies and are currently responding to the Wales Transport Strategy.
Transport Focus will host a public Board online meeting in Cardiff on Wednesday 23 November.
We’ll be discussing our latest work to help transport users in Wales and looking to understand what transport users want improved. Are they being supported? Are they happy with transport operators? If this matters to you, we want to hear from you!
Our chair, Nigel Stevens, will host the event from central Cardiff which will also be broadcast live on our Twitter page. David Beer, our senior manager in Wales, will also provide an overview of our work and latest insight.

During the pandemic, train operators made some cuts to services. When parents made us aware that this was impacting on students getting to college safely and on time, we stepped in to put pressure on Transport for Wales to review the timetable. As a result, it reinstated key services. It also added more carriages on busy trains, and additional replacement bus services, to support social distancing.
